REVIEW METHODOLOGY
How TradingChooser reviews brokers
Our reviews consider the provider entity available to the reader, documented costs, product range, platform characteristics, service limitations and the evidence actually collected.
Tested
The team used the relevant product or platform and retained evidence of the activities described. The review should explain the account, country, date, duration and limits of the test.
Analysed
The assessment is based on documentation, public platform information, regulator records, pricing schedules or demonstrations, without a complete end-to-end account test.
Provider-reported
The information comes from the provider and has not been independently verified through direct use. It should not be presented as an observed result.
What we assess
01
Entity and regulation
We identify the legal entity expected to serve the relevant country and check the regulator, register entry and disclosed permissions.
03
Products and ownership
We distinguish between underlying assets, derivatives and CFDs, and check whether availability changes by country or account type.
05
Funding and withdrawals
We review available methods, stated processing times, minimum amounts and disclosed charges. A withdrawal is described as tested only when it was actually completed.
02
Costs and conditions
We check trading fees, spreads, currency conversion, inactivity charges, overnight financing, custody costs and other material conditions where relevant.
04
Platform and tools
We consider usability, order types, research tools, account reporting, mobile access and notable limitations. Claims are limited to the functions actually examined.
06
Support and limitations
We review published support channels and report material limitations, including products, markets, account types or features that may not suit particular users.
How category winners are selected
A broker should not be labelled “best” without a defined use case. TradingChooser may identify providers as suitable for a category such as beginners, long-term investing, active CFD trading, ETFs or platform tools. The conclusion should explain the decisive criteria, important trade-offs and relevant alternatives.
Ratings
Where numerical ratings are displayed, the same underlying data should be used across tables, reviews and summary cards. Ratings are editorial assessments, not regulator scores, guarantees or measures of future performance.
Commercial relationships
Some reviewed providers are commercial partners and others are not. Compensation may affect which links are available, but it should not be presented as evidence supporting an editorial claim. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
What our reviews cannot establish
- That a broker is appropriate for every reader.
- That an investment or trading strategy will be profitable.
- That fees, features or availability will remain unchanged.
- That regulatory authorisation removes market, product or counterparty risk.
- That a provider will deliver the same experience in every jurisdiction.
