CORRECTIONS POLICY
How we handle errors and material updates
Financial information can change, and mistakes can occur. TradingChooser reviews reported issues, checks the relevant evidence and corrects material inaccuracies when they are confirmed.
01
Report
Send the page URL, the statement believed to be incorrect and any supporting source through the site’s contact channel.
02
Verify
The editorial team checks the claim against the relevant regulator, provider documentation, pricing information or other appropriate evidence.
03
Correct
Confirmed errors are corrected. Material changes may be explained in an update note, particularly when they affect a comparison or decision.
What counts as a material correction
- An incorrect legal entity, regulator or licence reference.
- A fee, minimum deposit or product condition that could affect a decision.
- An inaccurate risk warning or retail loss percentage.
- A material mistake in a rating, ranking or category winner.
- A claim that overstates a test, feature, protection or expected outcome.
- An undisclosed commercial relationship relevant to the page.
Minor edits
Spelling, formatting and clarity changes may be made without a public correction note when they do not alter the meaning of the page.
Update dates
The “last updated” date should change only after a meaningful review or revision. A date must not be refreshed solely to make a page appear current.
Report a possible error
Include the page address, the relevant passage and the source that supports the requested correction.
